MUSIC (A few notes)
The Big 5, the companies that control all the music on the planet, are boring, so music lovers are both putting music on the net and downloading it on MP3 files. (They're MUCH faster than CD files). Problems arose when (a) websites started selling copyrighted work; (boo!) (b) started making money that the Big 5 couldn't get; (yea!) and (c) started playing better music than the majors (yea!). So now the 5 are fighting back with all the money they can muster. It's not a pretty site, but it is a chance for indies, like Hunk and P.D., to get their music heard without it being filtered through, and blanded down by the big bullies.

PREDICTION: The idea of owning a recording may soon become passe. Instead ALL the music will be available on the net like a giant jukebox. Whatever you like whenever you like. Good news: think of all the natural resources we'll save. Bad news: what if the jukebox begins to control what we can hear? That's dangerous!
