LAST NOTES OF THE MILLINNEUM

Art S Revolutionary (editor): Well that's it for this issue and Musea for this 1,000 years. I hope you found something in the Holiday Reading that sticks with you long after the holidays are gone and something in Musea over the years, that got you to thinking. In this final section I thought I'd just talk to you a bit about this and that, and so forth ... Musea will be off in January. We will be back in February with a special big stupendous movie issue where we look at all things filmy. ... I say 'we' but did you know that everything in Musea - articles, essays, poems, short stories; illustrations & comics; music etc. (including Art S Rev./ Hunkasaurus / Woody Stock / In the Chinese Manner / Koan Comics /Hard News / Art Surfin' etc.) is all me, Tom Hendricks. Yep. Unless it has a byline by it, it's my doing. The real staff (real people with real bylines) are : Alden Scott Crow (reporter-at-large); Donna Turman (webmaster); Robert W. Howington, Weasel Boy (Kevin E. White), Sparrow, Gregory K.H. Bryant, & Ace Backwards (columnists). I thank them all (pretty talented bunch aren't they?) I'm proud to be associated with them. ... In protest to the rampant commercialism of the season, PLEASE DON'T BUY ANYTHING FROM MUSEA IN THE MONTH OF DECEMBER! (bet you haven't heard a company say that before, it's almost sacrilegious!) ...

Quote: "A long habit of not thinking a thing wrong gives it a superficial appearance of being right and raises at first a formidable outcry in defense of custom" Thomas Paine 1776. Powerful words for sure. And that's how I feel about the monopoly of our country's arts and media by a handful of corporations. We've gotten accustomed to mediocrity in the arts and media. But I promise to try to change that. I can assure you the ART REVOLUTION will continue into the coming years and will succeed with your help. ...

FIRST you lose your faith in others / Then good news, a keener wisdom / Replaces that faith that dissolved like sugar / Swirled in a cup of boiling hot water, / A drive that inst ought./ ...
