(Somewhere far beyond the horizon in a distant, eerie time

This issue of Musea is a replica of a report from an alien named Rog to his commander, Gort. Through time travel, Rog has visited earth on February 4, 1956 at 12:10 EST. In the brief seconds there, he purloined one magazine from a news stand - that being Science & Mechanics, the Feb. 1956 issue. On the basis of this single magazine, he has interpreted all bio/culture on earth. His comments are translated into English and added to the appropriate cut-out illustrations on the following pages.
DIRECTIVE: Collect what you can about the culture then.
This was my directive from the high command. Hoist to the cockpit and strap me in.
